Adult Dentistry

We offer complete dental care for all adults from basic preventive and restorative care to complex prosthetic and cosmetic treatment.

Children’s Dentistry

We welcome and delight in treating little kids. Dr. Haskell will refer a child to a competent pedodontist if she feels it is in the patient’s best interest.

Restorative Dentistry

Dr. Haskell restores teeth with a variety of materials. Typically small cavities are restored with composite resin (tooth colored fillings). If the tooth required more extensive treatment she will offer inlays or crowns. Bridges are a common way to replace missing teeth.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Dentistry today can achieve natural looking results that are as beautiful as they are functional. Tooth whitening is a very conservative, safe way to make the teeth whiter. All ceramic crowns (crowns without a metal substrate) produce natural looking teeth. Veneers are bonded porcelain used in the front of the mouth to make changes such as closing spaces, making a rotated tooth appear straight or to cover up an unsightly color. Bonding is generally a more conservative treatment to change the appearance of a tooth.

Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy has changed dramatically in the last few years. The procedure is faster (often completed in one appointment), more comfortable, and more successful than ever before. There is minimal postoperative discomfort. It is not unusual for the patient to fall asleep during the procedure!

Removable Prosthetics

Full and partial dentures are made when that is the best treatment plan for the patient.

TMJ Diagnosis and Treatment

Dr. Haskell has always been interested in this challenging field because so many patients are affected. She has taken numerous continuing education courses on the subject and enjoys this part of her practice.

Implant Prosthetics

Implants is a very exciting field in dentistry today. We are now able to replace a missing tooth without disturbing the teeth adjacent to the lost tooth. Dr. Haskell works with excellent surgeons who place the implants surgically and then she completes the treatment by placing the crown on the implant.

Emergency Care

All emergency patients are seen as soon as possible. It is always best to call the office early in the morning to be placed in the schedule. After hours an emergency number is always available for our patients.

Preventive Care

Dr. Haskell believes that prevention is the most effective way to maintain dental health. At your initial visit and at all recare appointments home care will be discussed and we will help you with any problems you may have. Prevention also includes prophylaxis (cleanings), fluoride treatments and sealants.

Periodontal (Gum) Treatment

Periodontal disease is very prevalent in the adult population. One of the first signs of the disease is bleeding in the gums but often there are no symptoms so patients may not be aware they have the disease. Dr. Haskell believes in examining patients thoroughly for the disease. This exam includes a complete periodontal probing at the initial and all recare appointments and x-rays to determine the health of the bone. With early treatment and maintenance the disease can be controlled.

Dr. Haskell will refer patients to competent specialists when it is in the patient’s best interest, however, she will coordinate all specialty services and provide follow-up care.
